Baking has always been a form of therapy for me. Whether it be perfecting the combination of ingredients or just seeing the reactions of people tasting the end results, I always knew that baking was my true passion. After completing my business degree in 2014 and obtaining my CPA in 2016, I was on track to be a tax accountant for the rest of my life. Baking became relegated to a hobby, shared with friends and family, but I knew where my heart truly lied. If ever there was a possibility to pursue baking as a career, I knew I had to take it.

During quarantine, when I wasn't drowning with tax season, I found myself leaning on baking to help keep me sane. Care packages were sent off to loved ones and shared on remote zoom meetings. It kelped keep my world connected, one sweet treat at a time. This is when I realized how much baking contributed to my happiness.

In November of 2020, I finally found a place in Fishtown, where I could envision my dream turning into a reality. As of May 2021, my last tax season was in the books and my focus shifted from 1040's and balance sheets to macarons and honey pies. With months of research, planning, and curating Beehive Bake Shop was born.
